This page provides an overview into the costs involved in joining us:

Subscription Costs

New for 2024-25 we are running a termly subscription of £25 per term, payable at the start of each term. We run 3 terms over the year (corresponding with the school terms) starting in September, January and April.

We can discuss alternative payment options if required.

Where does the Subscription go?

The volunteers who run the company do not get paid. The subscription goes towards insurance and the general costs of running the company.

Trips and Events

Special events (parties/competitions etc) are often run without any extra cost.

There maybe some extra costs for occasional trips/excursions/camps, but these will be optional events. It is also worth mentioning that our leaders who run these events not only give up their free time, but also generally pay the same as the young people.

Uniform Costs

Uniform costs: see the uniform page about the uniform requirements. For Anchors (5-8) and Juniors (9-11) it consists of a polo shirt and a sweatshirt. It costs about £25 in total for these brand new, but we usually have some discounted pre-loved stock.

Services

The other cost is a small amount of change for the Parade service collection.
